My old number still lived with my service provider, Mint Mobile, a low-cost carrier that piggybacks on T-Mobile’s network. Google Voice lets you pick a new virtual number, as long as it’s not already in use, so I selected one with a 415 area code, and even chose a meaningful four-digit series for the end of the number. They could not unlock it, told us to send it back and they would send us a replacement, we did via USPS label they sent us (which was confirmed as returned). I bought two new Samsung Galaxy phones from them, got one activated with no issues, the other one they sent us was locked. When you call back and reference the ticket number(s), they have no idea what is going on. All they do is apologize profusely, create useless ticket numbers and send you away. Mint Mobile (T-Mobile network) service works fine, but if you have any kind of issue and need to call or chat with support, they are HORRIBLE. They have no technical support either, at least if you're someone who's tech oriented, no diagnostics and they seem really unknowledgeable. They basically ignored it until i was over the grave period even though they had told me they'd send RMA on day 1. I mean they don't even get that people can file a claim against them elsewhere off they're not willing to offer solutions in a timely manner. So i might just use it as a camera and a backup if they don't send the RMA now that i got my money back. The wireless and mobile radios are not good. Horrible radios on this thing too other than the Bluetooth. It's bad for aaa gaming, app loads, and WiFi, Really hot, bad battery life. ![]() So i guess i have a free pixel 7a for now and I'll have a one plus 10p □□ not that it's worth using this 7a. ![]() But luckily i used PayPal credit and i have to say they have great purchase protection. The pixel 7a i got was a lemon and they refuse to be held accountable or provide me with proper documentation to send Google for an RMA. I've had a horrible customer experience and I'm a new customer who bought a device through mint.
